Gulf Coast Victims of Hurricane Katrina are attempting to
recover from the massive hurricane. Volunteers and Rescue
workers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina’s
destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands victims left
homeless with critical necessities. By making a financial
gift to Hurricane Relief work, volunteer charitable organization
are providing shelter, food, counseling and other assistance
to those in need.
DONATIONS
are needed to help the victims of the destruction that Hurricane
Katrina has inflected.
Both the Salvation Army and American Red Cross
are not government agencies and all disaster assistance and
disaster recovery programs are free thanks to the generosity
of people like you. The value of your donation is increased
by the fact that the ratio of volunteer workers to paid staff
is very favorable.
Charitable Contributions to
non-profit charitable organizations like the the Red Cross
and Salvation Army are tax-exempt
charitable
contributions under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Service (IRS) Code. Such non-profit contributions
are tax deductible for calculating individual income tax and estate tax
returns.
